Player form vs skill

One important thing to remmeber when you´re setting up the tactics for your next game is player form. Although some of your players have less skill you should allways take a look at their form. 3-4 form points is equivalent to 1 skill point. Which means that a player with (S6, F18)* is better to use than a player with (S7, F3)*.

Special qualities, an explanation

Here you´ll find an explantion of all special player qualities in the game. But you have to remember that player skill always is more important than special qualities. Next to each quality there´s a grade between 0-5 stars, 5 stars declares the most important quality.

Allround | Big mouth | Cool | Diva | Easily injured | Feelings | Freekick specialist | Goal thief | Good at one on ones | Good header | Good positioning | Greedy | Hard shooter | Hard traininer | Intelligent | King in the air | Leader | Legend | Moody | Play-actor | Quick | Quick reactions | Rough

Allround

A player that´s allround perform better than rest of the players at unfamiliar positions. Up to 85% better.

Big mouth

Is your player a big talker then you have a problem. He´ll get at lot of unnecessary cards.

Cool

Players that are coll handles pressure very well. For example penalities and over time. This goes for both goalies and players.

Diva

Do you want players with a bigger ego than Cristiano Ronaldo? I don´t think so. These players thinks they are way better than the rest of the team and have troubles to get along with other players.

Easily injured

Stay away from this kind of players. Regardless how good your player is he´ll not be any good injured.

Feelings

After 14 games or when your players has been a part of your team in 3 months he achieves a red heart. With this he will perform 5% better than players without a heart. Young talented players within the club will get this automaticly.

Freekick specialist

Great quality. Set your freekick specialist to take all freekicks and you´ll score now and then. With this quality your player will be 505 better than the rest on freekicks.

Goal thief

Very good for strikers. This will gett your player at the right place at the right time.

Good at one on ones

Goalies that has this special quality is better than average at one on ones. One on ones appears a lot in games so…

Good header

One of the better qualities. This is good both in your defense and offense. Very good at set pieces.

Good positioning

One of the best qualities for a goalkeeper. Good positioning means a lot less errors.

Greedy

For sure this isn´t a good quality with one exception. When you give your players win bonuses this type of players will  perform better than they use to.

Hard shooter

Every team needs a hard shooter. This can create one more weapon in your offensive play.

Hard traininer

The best quality in a player. Your players will continously have a hig form throughout the season with minimal training. Look for this!

Intelligent

One of the best special quality, both for goalies and other players.

King in the air

Great cure against players that are good headers. Your goalkeeper will dominate the air a get most of the balls. Especially good if your opponent uses wing plays.

Leader

Every team needs a leader. You should use these kind of players as your team captain. But remember that skill is more important than leader quality for your captain.

Legend

After a hundred games your player achieves a gold heart. This is the sign of a legend and the player will have the same quality as one with the red heart.

Moody

A moody player can be both good or bad to have. When your player is in good mood he´ll over perform. But when he is in bad mood he will perform really bad.

Play-actor

Not as bad as you might think. When your playing with tricks these type of players will get a lott of freekicks. They will perform as good as any Hollywood actos there is.

Quick

Quick players are allways good to have. They are very useful in both offensive and defensive play.

Quick reactions

Goalkeepers with quick reactions are great in the penalty area and will stop many shots fired at close range.

Rough

Rough players are tough to meet and if your lucky you might be able to injure your opponents playmakers. One drawback is that this kind of player get a lot of cards.

Go for skill not special qualities

If your´re going to buy a player you think av really great skills you might reconsider. The most important thing you should take a look at is skill not special qualities. Players that have a lot av specialities have a tendecy to be way more expensive than they should be. In many cases more skilful are cheaper than players with many special qualities.

Buy tactic report

One big thing with Xperteleven is to find out how your opponent are going to play. This isn´t the easiest thing to do but there´s one thing you should do, buy tactic reports. If you buy reports from your opponents 1 to 3 earlier games you might be able to tell your opponents tactic. Who is the playmaker? Offensive play, how does it look? Strategys? If you manage to find out these things you have a big chance winning.

Tightly mark playmaker

If you think you know which playmaker your opponents team have, then tightly mark the player. This will take away a lot off your opponents attacking power.

Agents, trustworthy or not?

There are a couple of agents in Xperteleven, some are good and some not. Some of the agents (2-3) will lie about a players skill just to get so much money as possible. Which agents who will try to fool you is a well kept secret.
